Only attended the cafe at this location. Welcoming and friendly. Great to seek shelter from the elements and have a pot of tea together with a home made fruit scone and butter. Excellent.
Wonderful experience. Lots of interesting items . Good cafe and toilets. Also a shop.
Little gem of a museum. Had visited the Navy museum the day before went for a morning stroll to the headland and found the museum stuffed full of interesting bits about the battery. Knowledgeable staff ex military who show you and let you handle the weapons in the armoury. well worth a 2-3 hour visit if you're in county Durham and at a loose end
A great place to visit with so much history and character. Must see place. It needs some care to be in a better condition.
Fantastic way to view local and international military history. Great place to get your hands on military hardware (in complete safety), from hand guns to tanks. Extremely keen and knowledgeable veterans at hand to provide information and share their experiences. Entrance fee well worth the money, give yourself two hours to view the detail, and the cafes has lovely sponge cake.
