Attention to detail when preping a car for collection is poor
Reserved a car on Thursday 3rd Jan to view on Saturday 5th January 2019. Confirmation was sent to my phone via text message for the viewing on Saturday. Paul the branch Manager booked the test drive and viewing in. Phoned in on Saturday Morning to at 9 a.m to confirm my arrival at 11 a.m. As it turns out car is SOLD. Ian Gibbon salesman questions me if I left a deposit of 100. I was not told to leave a deposit by Paul the Manager, If I had been told, I would have, considering I was going to purchase an expensive car 100 deposit would not have been a problem at all.I requested to speak with the man himself Paul. This mans integrity and managerial skills are completely questionable. He admits that he never told me to leave a deposit and concedes that he would have left the car if I left a deposit. Does that make any sense! yet, he failed to ask for a deposit.Manager Paul also tells me that this happens all the time that A somebody may have arranged a viewing and we have sold the car. He also said that they can have 2 or 3 different parties coming for a arranged viewing on a particular car one after the other, they apparently do that all the time. Somebody tell me that we are not in 2019, looks like trade is getting more dirtier by the second, how can you conduct business in such a manner where you could end up with multiple purchasers for 1 Item. Just to clarify my comments here are solely based on my experience with Paul The Manager. I hope that he is not deceitful by any means. Then again I take that back. Forgot to mention that after reserving the car I checked the website soon after and they had as per my instruction reserved the car. A reservation banner was put on the car after my phone call on their website . How can you then sell that same car without consulting the person who you RESERVED it for. Looks like the sale (MONEY) got better of Paul the manager's uprightness, integrity, conduct e.t.cHope anyone who reads this take heed.Good to know who you are up against.P.S - Paul this is not the end of if. I despise dishonesty in any shape or form!
