Called in to buy a headset bearing for a kids bmx. Found staff to NOT be helpful at all, To the point where he said he was not intrested in selling me the part because im not a certified cycle repair specialist. So called to halfords paid 10 and fitted in 5 mins.. not sure what it costs for 5 mins of a specialists time but he needed the bike for a week and a deposit...

Took a saddle in that just needed a couple off nuts and washers to fix.But apparently they are a part of part and couldn't be replaced safely.Despite all the technical training certificates on proud display the owner wasn't sure that he was competent to check whether any nut he might have would fit or do the job!On the other hand he would have happily sold me a new saddle!If your idea of repairs is replacing complete subsections or having a puncture repaired rather than fixing things this is the place for you - if you can stand the condescending attitude of the owner that is.
